Types of Complaints You Can Submit

NITH Integrated Complaint Management Portal handles three main categories of complaints. Choose the appropriate category based on the nature of your concern.

General Complaints (Currently Submission of General Complaint is Disabled by Admin)

What are General Complaints?

General complaints cover a wide range of administrative, academic, and service-related issues within the institute that don't fall under vigilance or harassment categories.

Examples Include:
  • Academic Issues: Course registration problems, examination concerns, grade disputes
  • Administrative Services: Library services, hostel facilities, mess services
  • Infrastructure: Maintenance issues, facility problems, safety concerns
  • IT Services: Network issues, software problems, system access
  • Student Services: Scholarship issues, document processing, fee-related concerns
  • General Grievances: Policy concerns, procedural issues, service quality
Processing:

Handler: Assigned to relevant department heads or designated officers

Timeline: 7-14 business days

Updates: Regular status updates via email and portal

CVO Related Complaints

What are CVO Related Complaints?

CVO (Chief Vigilance Officer) related complaints deal with matters of corruption, misconduct, ethical violations, and integrity issues within the institute. These are serious matters that require specialized handling.

Examples Include:
  • Corruption: Bribery, kickbacks, misuse of official position
  • Financial Irregularities: Misappropriation of funds, fraudulent transactions
  • Misconduct: Abuse of authority, violation of service rules
  • Ethical Violations: Conflict of interest, nepotism, favoritism
  • Procurement Issues: Irregularities in tenders, contracts, purchases
  • Academic Misconduct: Unfair evaluation, manipulation of results

Sexual Harassment Complaints

What are Sexual Harassment Complaints?

Sexual harassment complaints address incidents of unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal/physical conduct of a sexual nature that creates a hostile environment.

Examples Include:
  • Verbal Harassment: Sexual comments, jokes, propositions
  • Physical Harassment: Unwanted touching, assault, physical intimidation
  • Visual Harassment: Display of sexual materials, inappropriate gestures
  • Quid Pro Quo: Sexual favors demanded for academic/professional benefits
  • Cyber Harassment: Online sexual harassment, inappropriate messages
  • Hostile Environment: Creating intimidating, offensive work/study environment

Timeline: 90 days as per UGC guidelines
